My Approach:
My experience has been in both school and clinical settings, including youth from ethnically and culturally diverse populations. My training has emphasized psychoeducational and social-emotional assessments, with specialties in neurodevelopmental (autism, ADHD) and learning disorders. I rely on a collaborative, strengths-based approach with youth and their families to develop practical steps for intervention.
When it comes to providing therapy services, I tend to draw on solution-focused, cognitive, and behavioral approaches. I often incorporate mindfulness and emotion regulation strategies. I have a strong interest in parent consultation, where I apply positive, evidence-based child management strategies to improve family relationship health.
It’s important to me to deliver services that are culturally competent and strengths-based. I am compassionate and patient in my work with families. I bring a sense of humor and a down-to-earth style to the therapy setting.
